McLaren MP4/6 #1 Ayrton Senna 1991 Japanese GP 1:12

The 1991 McLaren-Honda MP4/6 No. 1, driven by legendary Brazilian champion Ayrton Senna at the Japanese Grand Prix in Suzuka, secured second place and helped Senna clinch his third Formula One World Drivers' Championship. Designed by Neil Oatley, the MP4/6 was powered by a naturally aspirated 3.5-liter Honda V12 engine producing approximately 730 horsepower. It was particularly significant as McLaren's first Formula One car to feature a fully manual six-speed transmission, replacing the team's previous automatic gearbox technology. Senna's championship-clinching moment came when teammate Gerhard Berger won the race, while Senna deliberately surrendered the lead to Berger on the final lap. The iconic red-and-white Marlboro livery, Honda V12 soundtrack, and Senna's extraordinary driving talent make the MP4/6 one of the most celebrated Formula One cars of the early 1990s.
