The Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2 #45 DEX Wayne Taylor Racing scored the 2026 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship GTD-class victory at Laguna Seca, driven by Danny Formal and Trent Hindman. Formal, a Uruguayan-American Lamborghini factory driver, and Hindman combined strong pace with disciplined race management, while WTR’s strategy calls proved decisive in the victory. The #45 is particularly distinctive because the Huracán GT3 EVO2 is built by Lamborghini Squadra Corse around the naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V10, rear-wheel drive and an all-carbon-fiber body. Its unusual roof-mounted hexagonal air intake and snorkel, rear fin, aggressive splitter/diffuser package and adjustable rear wing give it a distinctive appearance and aerodynamic character compared with other GT3 machines.
