The 1983 Porsche 956 No. 21, entered by Porsche Kremer Racing, secured an outstanding third-place overall finish at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, completing 364 laps in one of the most competitive Group C races of the decade. Driven by American racing legend Mario Andretti, his son Michael Andretti, and talented French driver Philippe Alliot, this entry was particularly memorable for bringing together a father-and-son driving combination at Le Mans. Powered by a 2.65-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six engine producing approximately 620 horsepower, the Porsche featured revolutionary ground-effect aerodynamics, a lightweight chassis, and exceptional high-speed stability. Its distinctive Kremer Racing livery and remarkable performance against the factory-backed Rothmans Porsche entries made the No. 21 a memorable part of Porsche's endurance racing history.
