The 1991 Porsche 911 (964) Carrera 2 #27, entered by Team Hezemans Rotax, competed in the demanding 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps with Dutch drivers Rinie van der Velden and Marcel van Vliet alongside Brazilian racer Christian Fittipaldi, who later achieved success in Formula One, IndyCar, and endurance racing. The car featured Porsche’s naturally aspirated 3.6-liter flat-six engine mounted behind the rear axle, delivering the distinctive sound and traction that made the 911 a touring-car favorite. Finished in red with Pirelli tires, this rear-engined machine qualified 11th on the grid but unfortunately retired following an accident. Its combination of classic 911 styling, precision handling, and endurance-racing heritage made it stand out among the BMW M3s and other touring cars of the era.
