The 1998 Courage C41 No. 24, entered by Courage Compétition, finished 15th overall and fourth in the LMP1 class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Driven by Japanese endurance racing veteran Yojiro Terada, French driver Franck Fréon, and Olivier Thévenin, the car completed 304 laps in the demanding 24-hour contest. Powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged Porsche flat-six engine producing approximately 600 horsepower, the C41 featured a lightweight prototype chassis, open-cockpit design, and aerodynamic bodywork engineered for high-speed endurance racing. Its distinctive blue livery, carrying AMPM and IGOL sponsorship, gave it a recognizable appearance on the Circuit de la Sarthe. Particularly noteworthy was Terada's continued commitment to Le Mans, where he built a remarkable career spanning decades. The No. 24 represents an interesting example of independent French prototype engineering competing against major factory-backed manufacturers.
