This is the BMW M1 No.71 Le Mans 24H 1981 Danner/von Bayern/Oberndorfer in 1:18 scale by Spark.

The BMW M1 No. 71 that competed in the 1981 24 Hours of Le Mans was driven by Christian Danner, Prince Leopold von Bayern, and Peter Oberndorfer for the privateer Helmut Marko RSM team. Unlike many of the Italian and French sports prototypes, this entry was a Group 4 GT‑spec BMW M1 — a mid‑engined supercar with a 3.5 L BMW M88 inline‑6 that gave it a relatively exotic, supercar‑like presence on the long Le Mans straights. Painted in a distinctive “Münchener Wirtshaus” livery reflecting its Bavarian roots, the car stood out in a field dominated by Porsches and heavier machinery. Its Le Mans run was unfortunately cut short after about eight hours due to a crankshaft damper failure, a common challenge for racing M1s of that era, but it remains a memorable example of BMW’s bold endurance efforts.
