The 1983 Alfa Romeo Alfetta GTV6 #44, entered by Jolly Club Milano in the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, was driven by Belgian racers André Lierneux, Raijmond van Hove, and Francis Polak. Its 2.5-liter, naturally aspirated V6 engine, rear-wheel-drive layout, and distinctive yellow racing livery made it a memorable example of Alfa Romeo's touring-car strength. Homologated for Group A competition in 1983, the GTV6 combined Italian styling with a throaty V6 soundtrack and balanced handling, making it a formidable rival to larger touring cars. Unfortunately, the #44 retired from the 1983 endurance race because of a driveshaft failure.
