The 1986 Lamborghini LM002 in Silver was a groundbreaking machine that effectively created the super-SUV, combining Lamborghini supercar performance with serious off-road capability. Its 5.2-liter V12 was derived from the Countach Quattrovalvole, producing around 450 horsepower, while a five-speed manual transmission, selectable four-wheel drive, low-range gearing, and specially developed Pirelli Scorpion tires allowed it to tackle terrain far beyond the reach of conventional luxury vehicles. What made the LM002 truly unique was its outrageous combination of a hand-built aluminum/fiberglass body, tubular-steel chassis, luxurious leather-and-wood interior, and Countach-derived V12 in a huge four-door off-roader. With only about 300 examples produced, the silver “Rambo Lambo” remains one of the rarest and most unconventional vehicles in Lamborghini history.
