1982 Lamborghini Countach 5000 S 1:43

The 1982 Lamborghini Countach 5000 S (LP500 S) was a major evolution of Lamborghini’s iconic wedge-shaped supercar, replacing the earlier 3.9-liter V12 with a larger 4.8-liter naturally aspirated V12 producing approximately 375 horsepower and 302 lb-ft of torque. Despite the “5000” name, its actual displacement was 4,754 cc. The engine’s increased bore and stroke delivered stronger torque and improved drivability while retaining the dramatic mid-engine layout and six Weber carburetors. Its flared wheel arches, enormous rear tires, optional rear wing, scissor doors, and unmistakable Marcello Gandini styling made it one of the most visually extreme cars of its era. With only about 323 examples produced, the 5000 S was considerably rarer than many contemporary exotics and represented the final naturally aspirated, two-valve-per-cylinder Countach before the more powerful Quattrovalvole arrived.
