This is the Mazda 787B 2.6L #56 24h Le Mans 1991 Torino/Terada/Dieudonne in 1:18 scale by KK Diecast.

The Mazda 787B #56, powered by a screaming 2.6L R26B quad-rotor engine, made history at the 1991 24 Hours of Le Mans by becoming the first—and still only—rotary-powered car to win the race outright. Driven by Johnny Herbert, Volker Weidler, and Bertrand Gachot (not Torino/Terada/Dieudonné, who drove sister cars), the 787B stunned the motorsport world with its reliability, speed, and distinctive wail. However, drivers Yojiro Terada, Pierre Dieudonné, and David Kennedy competed in Mazda’s other entries. This race was unique as it marked the only Le Mans victory for a Japanese manufacturer using non-piston engine technology before rotary engines were subsequently banned, making the win a one-of-a-kind moment in endurance racing history.

This model is hand painted and polished to a beautiful finish and has a sealed body. These diecast
models are exceptionally accurate of scale, shape and detail. Interior detail is hand assembled and easily
visible. Photo etched parts, die-cutting, tampo printing and waterslide decals are often used for a most
authentic replication.
