The Porsche 963 No. 4, entered by Porsche Penske Motorsport for the 2025 24 Hours of Le Mans, was shared by Brazilian Felipe Nasr, Briton Nick Tandy, and German Pascal Wehrlein, with the trio ultimately classified 8th overall after post-race changes. Nasr was a key Porsche endurance driver, Tandy was already a Le Mans overall winner from 2015, and Wehrlein—making his Le Mans debut—was the reigning Formula E World Champion. The 963 is a purpose-built LMDh hybrid prototype featuring a 4.6-liter twin-turbo V8, seven-speed racing transmission, Multimatic carbon-fiber chassis and advanced aerodynamic bodywork; its hybrid system combines the combustion engine with an electric motor to produce up to approximately 680 PS, depending on Balance of Performance. Its distinctive design also pays tribute to Porsche endurance legends such as the 956 and 962, while incorporating modern hybrid technology and extreme aerodynamic efficiency for long-distance racing.
