The Porsche 911 (992) GT3 Cup #911, driven by former Formula 1 and DTM star Timo Glock, was a special VIP entry in the 2023 Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup at the Hungaroring, where Glock finished 15th after starting 24th. Glock brought considerable experience to the event, including his Formula 1 career and a previous Supercup appearance in 2004. What makes this Porsche particularly special is that it was the 5,000th Cup 911 built by Porsche Motorsport since 1990, finished in a striking gold livery and carrying the symbolic #911. The 992-generation Cup car features a 4.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-six producing 510 PS, rear-wheel drive, a sequential racing gearbox, carbon-fiber components, and sophisticated GT3-style aerodynamics, making it a true purpose-built race car rather than a modified road car.
