The Porsche 911 RSR‑19 number 60, campaigned by Iron Lynx at the 2023 24 Hours of Le Mans, was driven by Matteo Cressoni, Alessio Picariello and Claudio Schiavoni. Entered in the GTE-Am class under a transitional program combining Iron Lynx with technical support from Proton Competition, the #60 RSR-19 arrived at Le Mans with hopes of capitalizing on the car’s proven endurance pedigree and the trio’s varied experience.
What makes the 2023 Le Mans race particularly unique is that it was one of the final years for the RSR-19 under the old GTE regulations — a last hurrah for the 4.2 L Flat-6 before GT3-era cars took over. Despite the team’s preparation and the car’s potential, the #60 suffered an accident during the race and was forced to retire (DNF), highlighting how unforgiving — and unpredictable — Le Mans remains even for experienced teams.
