The Porsche 963 #5 Porsche Penske Motorsport was driven at the 2025 24 Hours of Le Mans by Frenchmen Julien Andlauer and Mathieu Jaminet and Danish driver Michael Christensen. Andlauer, a Porsche factory driver and former Le Mans GTE Am class winner, led the race early after starting third, while Christensen and Jaminet brought extensive Porsche and endurance-racing experience. The #5 is a highly specialized LMDh Hypercar powered by a 4.6-liter twin-turbo V8 hybrid system producing about 680 hp, with a carbon-fiber monocoque, sophisticated aerodynamics and energy-recovery technology. Its combination of Porsche's racing heritage, hybrid power and distinctive low-slung prototype bodywork sets it apart from conventional GT race cars. The #5 ultimately finished seventh overall after tire damage and penalties interrupted a very strong early performance.
