The Aston Martin DBR9 AMR No. 009 captured its second consecutive LMGT1 class victory at the 2008 24 Hours of Le Mans, driven by David Brabham, Antonio García, and Darren Turner. Finishing 13th overall after completing 344 laps, the British GT racer successfully defended Aston Martin's 2007 class-winning achievement. Beneath its distinctive Gulf Oil blue-and-orange livery was a front-mounted, naturally aspirated 6.0-liter V12 producing approximately 600 horsepower, paired with a lightweight carbon-fiber structure and aggressive aerodynamic bodywork. The DBR9 combined the elegance of Aston Martin's grand touring heritage with the performance and durability required for 24-hour competition. The post-race version commemorates this memorable victory and the car's place in Aston Martin's Le Mans history.
