This is the 1956 Fiat Bartoletti 306/2 3-ASSI Truck Shelby Cobra Car Transporter in 1:43 scale by IXO.
The 1956 Fiat/Bartoletti 306/2 Grand Prix Transporter is far more than just a truck—it’s a legendary piece of motorsport history. Originally built by Carrozzeria Bartoletti on a Fiat Tipo 306/2 chassis, this “three-axle” transporter was commissioned by Lance Reventlow’s Scarab team to haul Grand Prix cars like the Scarab itself through Europe. Over its storied life, it’s carried racing legends’ cars (Cobras, GT40s, etc.), served many top teams—including Alan Mann Racing and Shelby American—and even made appearances in the film Le Mans. What really sets it apart is its blend of form and function: it wasn’t just a box to move race cars, but a rolling workshop, lounge, and hub of racing operations—all restored with such authenticity that it remains a showpiece at concours events.
Excellent quality and finish. Beautifully crafted and exquisitely detailed. Models are hand
painted, decorated and assembled. Beautiful detail and accuracy of shape and scale. Photo
etched parts, die-cutting, tampo printing and waterslide decals are also used.
