1995 BMW M3 Lightweight Alpine White 1:8

The 1995 BMW M3 Lightweight in Alpine White was a rare, U.S.-only performance special created with racing in mind, making it one of the most distinctive versions of the E36 M3. Its 3.0-liter inline-six produced about 240–243 horsepower, while BMW stripped away roughly 200 pounds by deleting the air conditioning, radio, sunroof, and much of the sound insulation, and fitting aluminum door skins and lightweight wheels. The Lightweight also received a shorter 3.23:1 final drive, stiffer suspension, adjustable front splitter, large rear wing, carbon-fiber trim, and BMW Motorsport graphics. Every example was finished in Alpine White, and BMW produced only 126 cars, making it exceptionally rare and far more track-focused than the standard M3.
