This is the 1978 Lotus w/ Removable Engine in 1:12 scale by GP Replicas.  Manufacturer's prototype photos only.  Finished model car images will be added as soon as production is completed.

The 1978 Lotus was part of Lotus’s radical ground-effect development program under Colin Chapman, paving the way for the iconic Lotus 79 that dominated Formula 1. This prototype, often referred to as an early aerodynamic test car, was driven in private sessions by Mario Andretti, who would later claim the 1978 World Championship. What set this project apart was its pioneering use of venturi tunnels and side skirts to create massive downforce—a revolutionary step that changed Formula 1 forever and gave Lotus a decisive advantage during that season.

This model is hand painted and polished to a beautiful finish and has a sealed body. Resin models are
exceptionally accurate of scale, shape and detail. Each model is created using a variety of production
processes, to achieve this precision. They are produced using a composite material referred to in the
industry as “resin”. Photo etched parts, die-cutting, tampo printing and waterslide decals are often used
for the most authentic replication.
