Detailed Description

This car was originally a 1939 Sedanca DeVille coachwork made by Hooper. Bare chassis were not available immediately after the Second World War, so the second owner removed the original body and sent the chassis to Labourdette of Paris which manufactured the current car.

This is the last car bodied by Labourdette who made a great class car , which is not the style of Rolls-Royce at the time, but whose innovations will surprise: golden grille, brass inlay on the wings and bumpers, windshield without amounts Labourdette patented under the name "Vutotal".

World War II delayed the development of this project which will be delivered to its wealthy owner until 1947! The bill will be huge because the body itself only cost 44,000 dollars, 450,000 dollars today !

The final draft was presented at the Paris Salon in 1947, and was then sent to New York. This is the only Rolls-Royce with two emblems inserted in the doors.
